PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fading simulator in which generation of discontinuous points can be avoided even when operation settings are changed during a simulation test of fading, and a fading simulation method.SOLUTION: A fading simulator comprises a fading computing section 15 and the fading computing section 15 includes a plurality of multipath generating parts 100 and a multipath combining part 101 which combines output signals from the multipath generating sections. Each of the multipath generating parts 100 includes a delay change smoothing processing portion 112 which performs smoothing processing of delay before and after a change of fading settings, a correlation change smoothing processing portion 133 which performs smoothing processing of a correlation change, and a path loss change smoothing processing portion 152 which performs smoothing processing of a path loss.
