PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container with the shock-absorbing function, which performs a sufficient shock-absorbing function by allowing a bottom plate with a content placed thereon to elastically and freely change the height position. PSOLUTION: The packaging container 1 with the shock-absorbing function having a polygonal section and circumferentially folding a side plate 3 having a lid plate 2 to be opened/closed on the upper side in the container 1, includes a first shock-absorbing piece 6 provided on the lower end of the side plate 3 and extending inward of the container 1 from the side plate 3 in a folding-back manner, and having a length smaller than the side plate 3, a second shock-absorbing piece 7 provided on the upper end of the first shock-absorbing piece 6 inward of the container 1 from the first shock-absorbing piece 6 in a folding-back manner, and having the length smaller than that of the first shock-absorbing piece 6, and a bottom plate 8 provided on the lower end of the second shock-absorbing piece 7 in a folding-back manner. When the force on the content 21 to be placed on the bottom plate 8 is applied to the bottom plate 8, the first and second shock-absorbing pieces 6, 7 are elastically bent to freely change the height position of the bottom plate 8.
