PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual field information acquisition method for accurately analyzing a visual field state, and objectively evaluating it. PSOLUTION: The visual field information acquisition method includes: the image capturing process for disposing a background member 11 having a regularly-spaced pattern 11a including different brightnesses as a background of a windshield 21, capturing an image of the windshield 21 toward the regularly-spaced pattern 11a, and obtaining the captured image; the intensity measuring process for measuring intensities at a plurality of positions including a light position corresponding to a position of at least a light portion only in the regularly-spaced pattern, and a dark position corresponding to a position of at least a dark portion only in the regularly-spaced pattern within a partial measurement range including at least a regular space in the captured image; and the evaluation visual information calculating process for calculating a contrast within the partial measurement range by using the intensities at a plurality of the positions, and obtaining a value based on the contrast as the degree of a quantitative degradation in the visibility.
