PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the mass and the gravity center of each part of every individual. PSOLUTION: The method for measuring the mass and the gravity center of each part of a human body includes the first step of setting a measurement point on a part of a subject, the second step of intermittently measuring displacement xSBi/SBof the measurement point from a reference posture and a moment M around an optional point while changing the posture of the part on which the measurement point is set, the third step of estimating the mass mSBi/SBof the measurement point of the part by means of multiple regression analysis using a formula M/g=ΣmSBi/SBxSBi/SB+m'x', the fourth step of acquiring the mass of the part from the sum of the mass mSBi/SBof the measurement points, and the fifth step of acquiring the gravity center of the part from the mass mSBi/SBand the positions of the measurement points. In the method, the steps are carried out one by one. Because the mass and the gravity center of the part of the subject is thus measured directly, the mass and the gravity center of each part of every individual is measured accurately without relying upon statistical data.
