PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit torque pulsation and obtain sufficient output torque when a failure of a motor coil or an inverter occurs and prevent excess heat generation and current consumption and reduce the cost of the device when a secondary failure occurs.SOLUTION: A motor controller (10) controls a motor (5) including multiple pairs of coils. Current control means (23) continues control when a short circuit fault is detected as a primary failure and releases a power supply relay (3) when a secondary failure is detected.
