PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: though each of a weak sulfuric acid method, an organic solvent method, an enzyme method, etc. are included as methods for separating cellulose from lignin of lignocellulose-based biomass, there are problems such as low processing efficiency, development of side reaction, processing of a waste fluid after degradation processing, etc.; and since a by-product formed by the side reaction of cellulose or hemicellulose gives a bad influence on the next biotic reaction or on the activity of bacteria or enzyme, the presence of the by-product becomes to be an obstacle against the next biological glycosylation or ethanol fermentation.;SOLUTION: The lignocellulose-based biomass is processed by using a mixed processing liquid comprising an ion liquid and at least one selected from hydroxyl group-containing organic compounds and water. Thus, lignin in a lignocellulose material is swollen, decomposed, and dissolved in the mixed processing liquid, and then is eliminated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
