COMPOSITION INVOLVING SILVER, CHITOSAN AND ANTIBIOTIC NANOPARTICLES WITH COMBINED ANTIBACTERIAL POTENTIAL. The present invention relates to a composition that has an antibacterial activity and a potential application in combating Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, resistant or that have reduced sensitivity to antibiotics. The invention will be used as a therapeutic agent in animals or humans, as a pharmaceutical product. The increase in strains of multiresistant bacteria to antibiotics since the 1970s has led to the development of research that involves the search for new antibiotics that may be effective to contain this phenomenon. In this context, several researches have been looking for the use of silver nanoparticles, which are known for their antibacterial properties, alternatives that may be used in bacterial control. These substances act mainly on the cell membrane, promoting cell apoptosis by rupture. In addition, there is a strong dependence on the size and stability of these nanoparticles. Thus, we seek the synthesis of nanoparticles that are stable, with high control of their size and shape distribution.
