A spheroidal graphite cast iron alloy comprises between 3.5 wt.% and 7 wt.% nickel, between 0.5 wt.% and 3 wt.% copper, between 0.15 wt.% and 1 wt.% molybdenum, and remaining iron and unavoidable impurities. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) alloy product; and (2) manufacture of alloy product.
