The invention relates to a salt of formula VII; ;where A is; ;and Z is an amine of formula Z¹; ;where R¹³, R¹⁴ and R¹⁵ are independently selected from H, halogen, (C₁-C₆)alkyl, (C₁-C₆)alkoxy, CH₂F, CHF₂ and CF₃, where halogen is independently selected from F, Cl, Br and I, and also to a process for preparing the same and to a process for preparing pharmaceutically acceptable rosuvastatin salt.
