Device for monitoring the parameters, including the temperature and humidity of a Finnish sauna steam room, includes a control unit electrically connected to a temperature sensor, and a humidity sensor, and a control unit electrically connected to a lighting unit, preferably a LED lamp, preferably a LED strip light of RGB type. The control unit includes a processor, a memory device, a lighting control unit and a power supply unit. The processor is configured to read the signals from temperature sensor and humidity sensor representing the temperature and humidity of the steam room, and outputting electrical control signals to lighting control unit for controlling the light unit. The lighting control unit may be configured to control the signal intensity of the adjustable lighting unit, flaming light sources (LEDs), the number and/or location and/or the color of the light emitted by the lighting unit.
