This invention relates generally to refractory lining in electric arc furnace. More particularly the present invention relates to a magnesia carbon brick for use as refractory lining of an electric arc furnace and a method of manufacturing said magnesia carbon brick. It provides for higher residual carbon, higher thermal conductivity and an improved corrosion and erosion resistance.
