This jack is double acting type, hydraulically controlled with ports on either side for its extension and retraction of Main Undercarriage Doors while landing and takeoff of the aircraft. The Jack consists of a cylinder (9) and inside which Piston (8) can move. The Cylinder (9) is blanked by Eye End S/A (1) at one end and by the Gland S/A (5) at the other end. Eye End S/A (1) is retained through Nut (2), Ring (2 parts) (3) and Key arrangement which prevents Cylinder (9) from rotating in the Eye End S/A (1). Gland S/A (5) is retained by use of Ring Nut (6) which is positively locked by a Split pin. Stroke of the Jack is the distance which piston (8) can move while butting on Eye End S/A (1) (in retract condition) and Gland S/A (5) (in extended condition). A Micro-switch S/A (4) along with cable harness (10) is mounted on to the cylinder (9) with two studs and nut, to provide indication in the cockpit for opened condition of undercarriage door and also its signal is used to facilitate sequencing of lowering undercarriage door and Undercarriage. Fork End S/A (7) threaded to Piston (8) Rod is used for attachment of the actuator while installing on the Aircraft. The Eye End S/A (1) attach the jack to fixed structure of the aircraft. The jack extends when hydraulic pressure is applied at the extension port "X" as hydraulic oil flushes out from port "V" connected to return line of the hydraulic system. The jack retracts when hydraulic pressure is applied at the extension port "Y" as hydraulic oil flushes out from port "X" connected to return line of the hydraulic system.
