A label stock which is audio/visual detectable as well as tamper evident for authentication and method of manufacturing the same comprising blending of thermoplastic acrylic polymer with a vinylic copolymer, aromatic solvent and the inorganic pigments to form a paste. The said paste is coated on double sided silicone resin coated substrate followed by drying to form a film of uniform thickness. The said film is thereafter coated with rubber based high tack adhesive on one side of the film by coating the said adhesive on another double side silicone resin coated substrate and then by laminating the said film to the adhesive. The said label stock is then slitted to desired length and size. The said label stock is destructible by use of heat, solvents and/or any sharp tool to give evidence of tampering. The said inorganic pigments is capable of converting particular wavelength of Infra red radiations to a wavelength in the visible region of specified colour such as Green and also generating a sound by reflecting back invisible radiations to a laser IR generating device which converts the input into a low voltage current thereby producing sound.
