The present invention refers to an intelligent navigation system for visually impaired users, which is autonomous, of low energy consumption, including software with algorithms of vision, pattern recognition and character recognition, which comprises: a vision module for obtaining information in three dimensions; an infrared emitter/receptor module for acquiring a three-dimensional reconstruction; a positioning module for guiding the visually impaired user in low or null light conditions which would affect his vision system; a navigation module or complex software for processing the stereo images in real time resulting from the vision module; an auditory guiding module, intended to provide instructions or indications to the user; a touch guiding module for reinforcing the signals of the auditory guiding module; a CPU for receiving the signals and images, and processing and reconstructing the same in a 3D structure in real time; and a battery arrangement which provides the functional a utonomy characteristic to the whole system, this arrangement being useful for energizing all the components of the invention.
