The present invention refers to nanocomposites based on a polymeric matrix, which act as additives in masterbatch, these containing low concentrations of functional nanoclays that can be applied to polymers; said nanocomposites may be mixed with nanoclay for providing a generalized functionality, so that the polymeric piece, film and/or container will have an improved barrier against gases, a higher mechanical resistance, reduction of grammages and flame retardant properties.
