The invention relates to a multifunction medium-voltage vacuum switching apparatus intended for the secondary distribution of electric power, meant to be employed in the construction of electric transformer stations and substations with a view to ensuring the necessary functions of connecting, disconnecting and earthing the primary circuit. According to the invention, the apparatus uses a single apparatus () provided with a vacuum blow-out chamber() with current (i.e. nominal, overload or short-circuit current) cut-out and switch-off functions where the function of separation of the primary circuit is also achieved upon the current switch-off, as well as with a vacuum blow-out chamber () for the function of earth connecting or disconnecting the primary circuit, which can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes.
