A clinotron relates to vacuum magnetic oscillators of terahertz frequency interval. In the clinotron a wave slowing structure is made as a comb with rectangular slot cavities and rectangular lamels located in alternate sequence on a first wide wall of waveguide, where the depth of slot cavitiy of the comb is made slowly variable fromto, whereand- final points of working frequency variation, c – light speed in vacuum, the plane of second wide wall of the waveguide, opposite to the comb working surface, is made parallel to the planes of bottom of slot cavities of periodic structure. Use of clinotron provides for reducing depth of power change within frequency electric tuning band and increasing output signal power at working wave length reduction.
