The invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology, in particular to a method for the assessment of Isosorbit dinitrate efficacy in treatment of the patients with the ischemic heart disease with angina pectoris and the arterial hypertension with the impairment of diastolic function of the left ventricle according to "hypertrophic" type. The method comprises the comparison of the state of the patient prior to and after the treatment using Doppler echocardiography and the assessment of the transmitral blood flow.
