A press for manufacturing hollow bricks comprises a frame, a loading hopper with a dispenser, hydraulic cylinders, punches, a hydraulic unit and a control panel of the press. The hydraulic unit actuates the upper and lower oppositely directed hydraulic cylinders, which are arranged between the uprights. On the rods of hydraulic cylinders upper and lower punches are mounted. Between the upper and lower punches a die is arranged with void formers attached thereto by a thread. Under the upper punch a gas distribution chamber is located, which is connected to a compressed air network. From the bottom to the gas distribution chamber a removable plate with vertical holes for passage of void formers is hermetically attached. The gas distribution chamber covers all vertical holes in the removable plate. The invention provides increased efficiency and quality of cleaning holes of void formers, reducing wear of the upper punch.
