A method for assessing the state of the biological tissues of the urinary bladder wall in female rats with grafted foreign material provides for the morphological study. The prolene mesh is sutured to the serosa of the urinary bladder in the female rats under thiopental intramuscular anesthesia. The samples from the wall of the urinary bladder are taken for 1-3 months following the grafting with 25-30 day interval. The samples are processed in a conventional way followed by microscopic examination. The results are processed statistically with the options provided by Excel 7.0. In the specimens taken in one month following grafting, the mucosa is thinned with decreasing urothelium, the folding pattern of bladder mucosa is lost that is indicative of the significant chronic inflammation with the predominance of histiocytes, fibroblasts and the distinct interstitial edema.
