Disclosed is a method for prediction of development of opportunistic infections in HIV-infected persons through the blood serum investigation by determination of the content of cytokines in it. For investigation of blood serum the venous blood is sampled, and content of cytokines is determined through detection of interleukin 10 and tumor necrosis factor alpha, with use of standard method of enzymoimmunoassay. And if the level of interleukin 10 is (32.5±8.28) pg/ml, and the level of tumor necrosis factor alpha is (2.63±0.95) pg/ml, development of three and more opportunistic infections is predicted, with following conclusion on high probability of progradient course of the HIV-infection.
