The method for correcting the residual cavity following echinococcectomy comprises the removal of the chitin envelope with the fluid. The fibrous capsule is separated from the parenchyma of the liver from center to periphery clipping the small segmented structures. Then the capitonnage of the crateriform cavity is provided. Namely, the less deep edge of the liver is sutured to the bottom of the cavity with interrupted sutures; the second row of the interrupted sutures is applied to the adjacent edge suturing the edges and the walls of the cavity.
