METHOD FOR EXPRESS CONTROL OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF COLD-DEFORMED REINFORCING BAR OF THE B500C CLASS

A method for express control of mechanical properties of cold-deformed reinforcing bar of B500C class includes selection, preparation, marking and tension testing of full-scale specimen with periodical profile, with registration of the values of load and deformation and following calculation of the values of characteristics. The specimen is subjected to tension till maximum load, with interruption of test and fixation of the value of maximum load, then the specimen is relieved, with fixation of the value of its residual elongation, after that temporary resistance () and relative uniform elongation () at tension are calculated, and correspondence of reinforcing bar to required strength class is determined by the value of product of the characteristics x, this is to be not less than 1200, at mandatory values and not less than 550 N/mmand 2.0 %, respectively.
