METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS WITH EARLY POSTOPERATIVE PARESIS AND PARALYSIS OF LARYNX

The method for treating the patients with early postoperative paresis and paralysis of the larynx comprises neuromuscular electrophonopedic stimulation of the laryngeal nerves in combination with the complex of phonopedic exercises. The portable generator MS-11 MiniStim with pulse triangle-shaped current is used for neuromuscular stimulation. When the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve is injured, the passive electrode affects the anatomical area of this nerve and cricothyroid muscle. When the muscle is contracted, the patient performs the exercises the phonic exercises/ In the case of abduction paralysis, the anterior muscles of the neck and the larynx are stimulated. The duration of the procedure is 10 minutes twice a day followed by the increase of the duration up to 20 minutes thrice a day. The course of the treatment is 15-20 days.
