SUPPORT ASSEMBLY OF SIDE FRAME ON WHEEL PAIR OF FREIGHT CAR BOGIE

A support assembly of a side frame on a wheel pair of the freight car bogie comprises a side frame with axle holes, each of which is provided with a support plate and formed by outer and inner jaws with thrust pads covering by transverse and covered by longitudinal pads, and a wheel pair with bearings interacting with an axle hole of the side frame by means of an axle box/adapter housing with support and thrust pads, covered by transverse and covering by longitudinal pads, such that together limit the freedom of the relative horizontal displacements of wheel pairs and side frames within the gaps between covering and covered pads. The axle box/adapter housing is provided with longitudinal covering pads only from the side of the inner jaw of the axle hole ensuring interaction of the side frame and wheel pair in transverse direction from said side only.
