METHOD FOR PREDICTING COMPLICATIONS FOLLOWING X-RAY ASSISTED TREATMENT OF ANEURISM OF ABDOMINAL AORTA

A method for predicting the complications following X-ray assisted treatment of the aneurism of the abdominal aorta provides for the analysis of the structure of the wall of the infrarenal part of aorta at the site of implantation of proximal and distal ends of endoprosthesis with the aid of angiography and computed tomography. The biopsy of the wall of the common femoral artery is provided with the histological examination of the sample. The signs of the destruction of smooth muscle fibers, elastic membranes and the cysts in the medial layer of the vascular wall is predictive of the complications.
