A method of biochemical valuation of pancreas fibrous transformation at long-lasting Wirsung's duct occlusion involves determination of connective tissue condition and determination of hydroxy-proline concentration as marker of organ fibrous changes in organism of test animal. First after rat removal from experiment 5 ml of blood is sampled, and content of hyaluronic acid, protein-bound hydroxy-proline (HPp/b) and free hydroxy-proline (HPf) in blood plasma is determined, coefficient of HPp/b (cHPp/b), coefficient of HPf (cHPf) and ratio cHPp/b/cHPf are calculated. Thereafter numerical intervals of biochemical coefficients are determined for characteristic of acute pancreatitis inflammatory-necrotic stage, transition atrophic-prefibrous stage and chronic pancreatitis fibrous stage.
