METHOD FOR PREDICTING RISK OF DEVELOPMENT OF EROSIVE FORM OF GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX IN OBESE PATIENTS

The method for predicting the risk of the development of the erosive form of gastroesophageal reflux in the obese patients comprises the assessment of the clinical and instrumental signs of the disease and accounting for the risk factors. According to the biochemical study of blood serum, the content of leptin and adiponectin is considered as the additional risk factor. The disbalance of the said hormones of the fat tissue is assessed by the prognostic coefficient (K) calculated as of leptin to adiponectin ratio. When K is superior to 4.49±1.34. the risk of the development of the erosive form of gastroesophageal reflux in the obese patients is predicted.
