TECHNIQUE FOR FASHIONING MARGINAL AUTODERMOGRAFTS IN TREATMENT OF DEEP BURNS

A technique for fashioning the marginal autodermografts in the treatment of the deep burns comprises the mobilization of the skin and the subcutaneous fat in a shape of the flaps at the edges of the burn defect sparing the small arteries and veins in the subcutaneous fat, the perforation of the flaps, their stretching and transposition one towards another. Then the flaps are sutured over the burn surface cleared of the necrotic tissues. Beforehand, the opportunities for the closure of the burn surfaces are assessed. For this purpose, the convex envelope of the burn surface is drawn with its median line, and the edges of the expected internal migration flaps are delimitated. When the height of these flaps equals or exceeds one third of the distance to the medial line, the formation of the internal migration flaps is considered as advisable.
