The device for magnesium-thermal titanium sponge production consists of the retort with a spherical bottom, flange shank and false bottom installed horizontally at the retort bottom and fastened with the upper end of a threaded rod and nut in the bottom part on the support bar arranged on the shank butt end. The false bottom is made in the form of the thick-walled disk with stiffening ribs welded from the top and ring supports coaxial one to one from the bottom. The inner ring support has an inner diameter equal to 1.05-1.10 of the inner diameter of the retort shank and openings at the level of the half its height in two diametrical directions, and fastening of the false bottom to the retort is carried out with the help of rods the upper ends of which are secured in two diametrical openings of the inner ring support.
