A METHOD OF EVALUATION ANAL SPHINCTER TONE

A method of evaluation anal sphincter tone, whereby the sphincterometry branches are introduced into the rectum and along two lines: a horizontal (3-9 hours of the dial) and vertical (6-12 hours of the dial) are measured sphincter tone in the state of rest and sphincter strength at voluntary constriction taking a recording device the readings of mechanical force on the branches, converted into an electrical signal by means of tensiometer. As a recording device it is used a voltmeter graduated to read the volumes of forces in Newtons, reading of sphincter strength at voluntary constriction in every position of sphincterometry branches changing between the branches the strings with definite degree of fixity. A spring is selected from a set according to its degree of fixity according to sphincter tone in the state of rest and the arithmetic mean between the measurements is determined.
