Procedure for the analysis of isoforms of glycoproteins by capillary electrophoresis.

The present invention relates to a novel process for the purification, concentration, separation and determination of the isoforms of {the} -1 acid-glycoprotein (AGP) in samples of human blood serum by capillary electrophoresis. The new method is based on the immuno and sample preconcentration in capillary separation using an immunoadsorbent phase magnetically immobilized in the capillary electrophoresis, and subsequent desorption and separation of the isoforms of the glycoprotein after induction of a focusing effect. The new method can have applications for the use of PGA as a biomarker for diseases such as cancer, vascular diseases and inflammatory diseases.
