Method for detecting a fibrosis, comprising: a) determining the level of at least one heavy chain H4 fragment of inter-α inhibitor-trypsin in biological unamuestra obtained from a patient; b) comparing said level of (a) with a control level of said at least one heavy chain fragment deinhibidor H4 inter-α-trypsin to determine a positive or negative diagnosis of the fibrosis.
