A D-tartrate salt of compound I (1-azabicyclo [2.2.2] oct-3-yl-acid ester of (R) -3-fluorophenyl-3,4,5-trifluorobenzylcarbamic acid) of structural formula: ** Formula * * showing a stoichiometry of substantially 1: 1 of compound I with respect to D-tartaric acid and in the form of crystalline polymorph I, characterized by an X-ray powder diffractogram pattern with peaks at θ2θ at 4.6 ± 0 , 2, 5.6 ± 0.2, 9.2 ± 0.2, 10.0 ± 0.2, 10.8 ± 0.2, 11.9 ± 0.2, 14.0 ± 0.2 , 15.9 ± 0.2, 16.4 ± 0.2, 16.8 ± 0.2, 18.9 ± 0.2, 19.2 ± 0.2, 19.6 ± 0.2, 20 , 9 ± 0.2, 21.8 ± 0.2, 22.3 ± 0.2, 23.0 ± 0.2, 24.0 ± 0.2 and 24.6 ± 0.2.
