APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR CONNECTING A PLASMA ARC TORCH LEAD TO A POWER SUPPLY

A torch lead extension is provided that comprises a conduit having a distalend and a proximal end. The torch lead extension further comprises a distalconnector member disposed at the distal end of the conduit and a proximaliconnector member disposed at the proximal a nd of the conduit. The distalconnector member is engageable with a torch lead connector member secured to aproximal end of a torch lead. The proximal connector member is engageable witha power supply connector member of a power supply. Generally, the distalconnector member and the torch lead connector nhember comprise a distal quickdisconnect, and the proximal connector member and the power supply connectormember comprise a proximal quick disconnect.' Accordingly, the torch leadextension may be quickly assembled between or disassembled from the torch leadand the power supply.
