Provided are a plant which is capable of bearing seedless fruits in a stable state over several generations; a seedless fruit obtained from this plant; a method of producing a variety which can easily bear seedless fruits without fail; the variety produced by this production method; and a seedless fruit obtained by this variety thus produced. A plant capable of bearing seedless fruits characterized by being obtained by a mating method which comprises (a) a step wherein an individual of a male sterile line is mated with an individual of a parthenocarpic line and from individuals of the first filial generation thus obtained, an individual of the first filial generation which has the male sterility and parthenocarpy and is capable of bearing seedless fruits is selected; and (b) a step wherein the preceding individual of the first filial generation thus selected is mated with an individual of a fixed line, which is capable of sustaining the parthenocarpy and male sterility of the former individual, as a pollen parent to thereby give a progeny individual having the parthenocarpy and male sterility.
