The wastewater treatment method controls the precipitation of magnesium from wastewater that is acidic due to sulfuric acid and contains aluminum, magnesium and manganese and yields wastewater with the manganese removed through a process of adding acid or alkali to wastewater that is acidic due to sulfuric acid, adjusting the pH to 4.0-6.0 and separating the wastewater into a dealuminated liquid and aluminum deposits, a process that forms a slurry by adding a slurry solution to the aluminum deposits and next forms an aluminum deposit slurry after adjusting the pH to 9.0-9.5 by adding alkali, a process that adds alkali to the dealuminated liquid, adjusting the pH to 8.0-9.0 and next forms an oxidized and neutralized slurry by adding an oxidizing agent and a process of solid-liquid separation of the aluminum deposit slurry and oxidized/neutralized slurry.
