The present invention provides a phosphorus recovery material, method for producing same, and phosphorus recovery method, which offer excellent phosphorus fixation performance as well as excellent sedimentation properties after phosphorus fixation, without decarboxylating phosphorus-containing water that includes carbonic acid. The present invention provides, inter alia, a phosphorus recovery material comprising either amorphous calcium silicate hydrate alone or a complex of Ca(OH)₂ and amorphous calcium silicate hydrate obtained by mixing lime and an aqueous solution of sodium silicate without heating, the Ca/Si molar ratio of the hydrate alone or the complex being 0.8 to 1.5.
