Provided is an arrayed waveguide diffraction grating optical multiplexer, comprising: an arrayed waveguide diffraction grating chip, further comprising a first slab waveguide which is connected to a first I/O waveguide, an arrayed waveguide which is connected to the first slab waveguide and is formed from a plurality of channel waveguides which have respectively different lengths and are arrayed in parallel, a second slab waveguide which is connected to the arrayed waveguide, and a plurality of second I/O waveguides which are connected to the second slab waveguide, is severed in two at a severing face which transects either the first slab waveguide or the second slab waveguide; a sheathing which is fastened to a lower face of the array waveguide diffraction grating chip, and at least one portion thereof being severed along the severing face of the array waveguide diffraction grating chip; and a correction member which is disposed to be bridged in a region of the sheathing which is separated at the severing face, and which corrects a temperature-dependent shift of a light transmission central wavelength of the arrayed waveguide diffraction grating. The correction member is bonded with a bonding agent in a portion of a surface-processed surface.
