Disclosed are a method and device for realizing network broadcast based on a network television and a network television. The method for realizing network broadcast based on a network television comprises the steps of: sending a play request message to a network broadcast server; receiving a request response message carrying a plurality of pieces of broadcast channel information, which is returned from the network broadcast server, the broadcast channel information comprising code stream addresses corresponding to the plurality of broadcast channels; and sending to a set-top box a network broadcast play instruction carrying one of the code stream addresses corresponding to the broadcast channels, so that the set-top box interacts with the network broadcast server to acquire and play a first broadcast program corresponding to the code stream address through the network broadcast server. The adoption of the technical solution of the present invention realizes playing a network broadcast on an IPTV, which not only facilitates the interception of a large number of network broadcast users but also brings to an IPTV user a new value-added service experience.
