Their structures are established primarily on the basis of spectroscopic data. Amooramides A-L are first examples of rings A, B-seco limonoids with unusual lactam side chains including 21 -butenolactams (compounds 1-7) and 23-butenolactams (compounds 8-12) in nature. The present invention also demonstrates that at least one of the 12 amooramides might have anti-inflammation activity since it can significantly inhibit the TNFu-induced NF-KB luciferase activity.
