A structure based on a twist-type overpass on urban roads and uses thereof, comprising motor vehicle lanes and non-motor vehicle lanes; the motor vehicle lanes comprise three layers: one layer is twist-type lanes and the other two layers are straight lanes; the first, second, and third layers are staggered spatially; the twist-type lanes are connected to the straight lanes via ramps disposed on the two sides thereof; and the non-motor vehicle lanes are disposed on the two sides of the straight lanes. The structure and uses thereof can effectively solve the traffic problem at urban intersections, realize traffic separation of motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles, and allow motor vehicles to travel in any direction during traffic hours, thus ensuring smooth traffic without crossing directions or routes.
