The present invention relates to a system, device and computer-readable recording medium for the preliminary evaluation and training of candidates training to be qualified as welders. The system comprises a specimen (102A) and a test key (102B) connected to a unit (101), to which a server (103) running supervision software is also connected. Using the system of the present invention, a trainer can monitor the evolution curve of the reflexes and ability of the trainee to repeat the movements inherent to the performance of the test on the specimen. The system stores reference data and history of the evaluated subjects, providing means for evaluating trainees consistently during the selection and training process.
