The invention relates to the petroleum industry and can be used for increasing the volume of fluid which can be pumped out, for increasing the oil extraction coefficient and the flow rate of the oil, and also for reducing the dropping of natural hydrate and hydrocarbon hydrate deposits on elements of the downhole space. The method consists in placing a device in the base of the submerged electric motor of an electric centrifugal pump, which device has an emitter and a controllable generator for producing an electromagnetic wave field in the downhole space, wherein the electromagnetic wave field is radiated at a resonant frequency for the downhole space, predetermined from existing practical experience, or from a simulation result, or in a testing process, wherein the testing process is carried out at set intervals, and in the periods between testing, the generator is switched to operating at the resonant frequency determined in the testing process in order for the emitter to generate standing electromagnetic waves which propagate wave energy throughout the entire downhole space.
