The objective of the present invention is, in a virtual computer system in which communication is performed using a predetermined type of information outside the jurisdiction of a virtualization mechanism, to restore a network connection for a VM (an object VM) for which live migration from a first physical computer to a second physical computer has been performed. In the invention, when a packet is received from a VM, a first virtualization mechanism within a first physical computer extracts a predetermined type of information from the packet, and registers the extracted predetermined type of information in a first management information unit. At the time of live migration, the first virtualization mechanism transmits the predetermined type of information within the first management information unit to a second virtualization mechanism within a second physical computer. The second virtualization mechanism registers the predetermined type of information in a second management information unit, and in order to restore a network connection of the object VM, transmits a predetermined type of packet that contains the predetermined type of information from at least one among one or more physical I/O devices of the second physical computer.
