The textile surface material (1) has multiple yarn systems (2,3) formed from the textile surface material. The textile surface material comprises a heat shrinkable plastic yarn (4a) such as a polyester, which is based on phthalate, particularly polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate. The textile surface material is formed as fabric, knitted fabric, knotted fabric, contexture or nonwoven fabric. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a heat shrinkable textile surface material.
