PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for diagnosing a signal state of an external control means which enables prevention of an increase in the manufacturing cost due to an increased number of components, increased complication of a circuit constitution or others and also enables accurate diagnosis of the signal state of the external control means, by a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: The device has a switching circuit which is connected to a center tap provided on a primary side of a transformer and makes driving power be sent out to the external control means provided on a secondary side by an ON/OFF signal of the means, and a means which is connected to the switching circuit and measures the primary-side current which flows corresponding to a current made to flow through the secondary side of the transformer by the drive of the external control means.
