The system has a connection unit (10) i.e. spring plate, for detachably connecting two elements of a winter sports equipment e.g. snowboard. The connection unit is supported radially in or on one of the elements. Drive units (16-19, 28, 29) are released from the outside and are suited for voiding a radial support of the connection unit, for separating the elements. The connection unit has a distal, curved and/or bent end with an external dimension, which is larger than an external dimension of a proximal end. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for releasing of winter sports equipments (2) a method for manufacturing an emergency release system for winter sports equipments.
