An electromechanical automobile and tractor internal combustion drive consisting of two symmetrical parts, each of which has two free-piston working cylinders and two pressure cylinders and second expansion pistons connected to rods that connect parallel compression cylinders and converters, the latter having plates with electromagnets disposed thereon. The piston groups move in opposite directions. The drive has an electromechanical converter positioned parallel to the inlet cylinders and to the rods that actuate the moving parts of the two symmetrical, oppositely moving parts of the drive, wherein belts move in one direction, turning two shafts situated at the ends of the device. The invention provides improved performance and reduced drive dimensions as well as smoother running of the drive components.
