This rod material supply machine (1) has: a main guide rail (10) that guides rod material supplied from a material shelf (8), along a prescribed feed axis line (C1); a feeding wedge (12) arranged above and parallel to the main guide rail, and which feeds the rod material (B1) on the main guide rail to a rod material processing machine (4); a raising/lowering device (14) that integrally raises and lowers the main guide rail and the feeding wedge; a slider (16) that moves the rod material to the rod material processing machine side, when the main guide rail is at a primary feed height position; and a feed drive device (18) that, when the main guide rail is at the primary feed height position, moves the slider to the rod material processing machine side and executes a primary feed mode, and, when the feeding wedge is at a secondary feeding height position, moves the feeding wedge to the rod material processing machine side, and executes a secondary feed mode. The feed drive device comprises a single feed drive motor (22) that is used for both when performing feed drive using the primary feed mode and feed drive using the secondary feed mode, and is controlled by a controller so as to have variable speeds.
